Boomerang
With a flick of the wrist, it's gone. But moments later, back it comes. Sound strange? Well it is, and it's called a boomerang.
A boomerang is actually a "throwing stick." It is light in weight and curved in a distinctive shape. It is most commonly made of wood, but other material can also be used. When flung in just the right way, the boomerang sails in a wide arc and returns to the thrower. But throwing it is an art.
Experts can do some amazing aerodynamic tricks. The boomerang can be made to perform figure eights or fly in circles. It can swing up and away from the thrower and hover overhead like a helicopter.
