Brand Loyalty
A third usage segment categorizes consumers by their level of brand loyalty or the degree to which they purchase or the same brand of product or service. Trust has been found to be a strong component of loyalty. Some consumers who repeatedly use the same multispecialty group practice for all their medical care can be described as hard-core loyal. Some consumers might occasionally use the medical group for some services and use practitioners outside the group for different clinical needs. These individuals might be termed split loyalists. A third group, defined as switchers, tries different facilities for care. Profiling these segments helps a medical group develop a better understanding of who belongs to a respective target market. This profiling can assist in developing strategies for increasing the loyalties of the split loyalty segment.
