Some rely on folk medicine.
Many prefer the traditional
forms of Chinese medicine and
seek help from Chinese
“physicians” who treat them
with traditional herbs and
methods.
Some do not seek help from
the Western system at all;
some combine traditional with
Western methods.
Some Chinese, because of
their distaste for some
diagnostic procedures, leave
the Western system rather than
tolerate the pain.
Many Chinese refuse surgery
or consent to it only under the
most dire circumstances.
A typical Chinese patient rarely
complains about what bothers
him/her.
