It had been a long discussion between the Avengers and Director Fury, deciding what was the best place for Loki to be monitored. Thor had been adamant that Asgard was the more secure place for him, however, Director Fury didn’t want the trickster out of his sight. He knew what Loki was capable of, and it wasn’t that he didn’t trust Thor’s word, he felt more comfortable if Loki was able to be somehow rehabilitated, and possibly even become an ally to the team. It was a long shot, a massive gamble, everyone was aware. Tony had been the first one to disagree with Fury’s decision, considering it would be his tower he’d be kept in, along with the other Avengers.
You didn’t know what to expect with the trickster God being in the same building as you all. You weren’t exactly frightened of him, more of what he was capable of. You knew the Tesseract had control over him to an extent, but it was also his intentions behind the chaos that had occurred in New York. At first, they decided it was best to keep Loki in containment, which he didn’t put up a fight against. As they took him down, you caught his eye as you knew he felt somewhat guilty for his actions. He gave you a brief glance before he was taken away to the confinement room.
After that day, you decided to try and help Loki. You thought that just secluding him further would cause more damage than good. He needed to have contact with other people, otherwise he’d continue to despise everyone. You took a deep breath before entering the confinement room. It was a small room that consisted of a bed, table with a chair, and books - obviously what he had requested. You saw the God laying on his bed, staring up at the ceiling with a blank expression. His head turned towards you as you entered the room. His expression became quizzical, as he slowly sat up, turning to look in your direction.
