2.4. Measurement of blood glucose by the sensor
Blood glucose levels were measured in tirapia (Oreochromis
niloticus), as this African fish is farmed in various areas of Japan.
Tirapias (n = 20; weight, 300–1000 g) were raised in an 800 l
tank and used as needed. In the present study, blood glucose
levels were measured by collecting blood samples or direct insertion
of the sensor.
