The concentrations of the asolanine
in the ultrasound assisted extracts of potato peels were
significantly (p < 0.05) increased with increasing amplitude and
time. As is evident from the RSM plots amplitude had strongereffect than extraction time for the alkaloids under investigation.
For example an increase in amplitude from 24.4 to 61 lm at
10 min extraction time increased the concentration of a-solanine
from 201.6 lg/g DPP to 263.7 lg/g DPP.
