during the day on Christmas Eve, we basically just chill around the house. I do my own thing mostly. watch Christmas movies on tv, bake cookies and decorate them, listen to music, make sure my room is clean for my new stuff coming the next day. at some point in the day we get some movies to rent. then later that evening around 5 we go to church. after church, my dad picks up pizza from pizza hut. my sister and her husband come over and eat pizza/watch movies. before we eat or watch, we read all the scripture about Jesus' birth. after we watch one movie, we get some red velvet cake. then i open a present from my parents. i'll also open what she got me and she and her hub open what we got them. then we usually watch another movie and chat around the electric fireplace and the tree. after they leave, my parents go to sleep. i go to my room and stay up watching tv. still can't sleep on Christmas Eve, and I'm 19. :P

I have to wait for my parents to come get me in the morning because my dad always has extra gifts that aren't wrapped up. can't be sneaking a peak. :P we open presents and then clean up. my mom then tortures me by making me take a picture with all the stuff I got. then i finally get to take it to my room. we then hang around the house "playing" with our new stuff until we go to either lunch or dinner at someone on my mom's side's house. usually g'ma or aunt host the family Christmas. then that night we might watch another movie we rented if sister n hub come over again (fingers crossed they will this yr).

I loved Christmas last yr. It was just so amazing. We watched one movie, took a break to open the presents from and to sister n hub, then started another movie. we didn't get far into the second movie because the power went out and stayed out for at least 3 yrs. my sister n her hub stayed, tho, and we spent the whole night just talking and making jokes. my sister was so silly and was doing shadow puppets. haha. one of the best Christmases I've ever had.
