Recycling ofwaste printed circuit boards (PCBs), which is similar
to WPBs with respect to containing metals and plastics in waste
materials, was investigated by pyrometallurgical methods and hydrometallurgical
processes (Cui and Zhang, 2008; Lee et al., 2007;
Kim et al., 2011), and the hydrometallurgical methods are suggested
to replace the pyrometallurgical methods that have several
drawbacks such as significant generation of liquid wastes, slow
kinetics, and not available for the recovery of all valuable metals
from waste PCBs (Kim et al., 2011).
