Seopjikoji
Seopjikoji boasts of a breathtaking landscape. This place is often used as sets for movies or TV dramas and you will understand why with the view of the vast pasture, ponies and white lighthouse mingled with the brilliant blue sea. Seopjikoji was named after its shape which means narrow area, and ‘koji’’ in Jeju dialect means the birth of a land. The vast green grass fields do not have any trees and harmonizes with the deep blue sea. The spring offers the best scene when the rapeseed flowers come into full bloom. If you want to get a keener sense of the vast blue sky of Jeju-do, go up the long flight of stairs that is found at the center of Seopjikoji. The top of the stairs is connected to a white lighthouse. From there, nothing but the blue sky and the cobalt sea are spread before your eyes. Seopjikoji provides a natural view of yellow rapeseed flowers compared with artificial one in Seongsan Sunrise Peak.
