Conclusion
The natural rubber powder encapsulated with
hydrolysis starch (maltodextrin) was successfully
prepared by spray drying. The appropriate inlet air
temperature was lower than 120oC for preventing the
clogged-nozzle issue. The rubber powders from this
process were spherical shape. The agglomeration of
powder was also observed especially at the higher
NR:MD mass ratio. At the feed solid content at 20 wt%,
the mass ratio of NR to MD should be lower than 9:1.
