The Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) is a parsimony index and Standardized Root Mean Square Residual (SRMR) is an absolute fit index. For both, values lessthan .09 indicate adequate fit [69] and values less than .055 indicate good fit [49]. The 90%confidence interval is also often reported for the RMSEA, with a related test referred to as p ofClose Fit (pCLOSE). This latter measure is a test of the null hypothesis that the RMSEA is .05.As such, a non-significant result on this test indicates a “close” fit of the proposed model [69].The SRMR measures the difference between observed and predicted correlation.
