Maghreb countries are sharing most of phytosanitary issues as they are neighboring countries occupying the North–West region of the African continent (Nasraoui, 2013). Maghreb agricultural productivity is severely limited by a large number of constraints including insect pests that attract particular concerns due to damage and economic losses they induce to crops and harvested products (Jarraya, 2003). The efficient control of insects in food commodities has long been the goal of producers and processors (El-Kady, 1981). Chemical protection of stored foodstuffs isthe most available method for controlling insect pests.
