To enrich the classification of maintenance management systems in a study of three Danish companies,Leavitt's modeP will be used. As depicted in Figure 4, this model includes the factors of tasks,people, technology, and structure in examining organizations.
Leavitt's model is primarily used to understand the interdependencies of these four elements
but will be included in this section to add more dimensions to the maintenance categories.
Leavitt's sociotechnical model elements have been renamed as Maintenance Tasks, Structure and Management Systems, Technology, and People. Table 2 presents a summary of the three case studies.
Management radar diagrams depicting the managerial effort in maintenance are presented for Companies B and C.
