The four existing authorisation schemes were replaced by a single declaration scheme, although financial guarantees and professional qualification requirements must still be met by those selling travel and accommodation services.
The Act modernised the legal regime governing chauffeur-driven
tourist cars and provided a legal foundation for two- and three-wheeled motor
vehicles (motorcycle taxis). The new regime simplifies the procedure by allowing self declaration,although drivers must still prove their qualifications which have now been
made stricter.
