Character pertains to the degree to which a space conveys meaning and is related to the coherence of its images and symbols. Not only must
the park invite local use by daily residents, but it must also create an international prestige and allure and be able to demonstrate many
dierent faces and yet still be a unifying element. In Tschumi’s design, it is the follies which allow for the most character. Their design, while
consistently unique and distinctive all speak the same fragmented and disjointed language encased in the same red metal.
