Results obtained in this work indicated that ultrasound could be regarded as a powerful tool to increase the nucleation temperature and improved the freezing process. Additionally, the power ultrasound could be considered as a mean to manipulate nucleation and improve the repeatability of the process. However, when it came to the mechanisms of ultrasound induced nucleation for the radish cylinder samples, there was no entirely appropriate theory that would elaborate it satisfactorily.
