if we estimate that
around 100 proteins are involved in TAG metabolism based
on what we know from the plant model Arabidopsis thaliana
(Li-Beisson et al. 2010), this means that at least 0.6 %
Chlamydomonas genes could be related to TAG synthesis or
turnover. This support the notion that proteome of lipid
droplet is highly enriched in proteins of lipid metabolism.
