2.4.4 Human Machine Interface (HMI) allows for easy adjustment of machine functions.
2.4.5 All machine functions are monitored and controlled via the HMI touch screen control panel, which
interfaces with a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
2.4.6 Free standing electrical cabinet is connected to machine via ten (10) meters of conduit.
2.4.7 The powder fill head and stopper insertion head can be raised and lowered for different height
vials from the control console.
2.4.8 Starwheels positively control vials during the filling process. Multiple dose capability allows
operator to program the desired number of doses from HMI. The fill wheel drive is a precision
servo driven indexing unit.
2.4.9 The single lane eight (8) port fill wheel is manufactured from 316L stainless steel and utilizes 316L
stainless steel pistons and appropriate filters.
2.4.10 The automatic purge system, both internal and external, cleans the powder filling ports and filters
after each dose.
2.4.11 The 2.0 H.P. CVCP vacuum/pressure pump is included with the base machine.
NOTE: The 2.0 H.P CVCP vacuum/pressure pump for the Powder Fill Station is provided with the base machine, and is
separately mounted on a frame for customer to locate outside the fill room in utility closet - not to exceed 25' [8 meters]
from the filling machine. Room temperature and humidity must be controlled. The connecting pressure/vacuum tubes
between the remote installed CVCP are not part of M&O Perry's scope of supply.
2.4.12 The 316L stainless steel high yield powder hopper is precision machined and equipped with
floating top seals.
2.4.13 Doctor blade adjustment is accomplished by means of a single thumbscrew.
2.4.14 Variable speed, powder agitation system allows preconditioning of non-free flowing products, and
has a sanitary direct drive quick-disconnect coupling.
2.4.15 Single lane timing screws positively control the vials during the stopper inserting operation.
2.4.16 All stopper contact parts are manufactured from 316L stainless steel or approved polymers and
are removable in assemblies for easy changeover and sterilization.
2.4.17 Stopper insert wheel provides controlled transfer of each stopper from the vibratory bowl to the
vial.
2.4.18 1 H.P. vacuum pump for stopper insert station is included with base machine.
2.4.19 The system is fitted with sensors to:
2.4.19.1 Stop the filler if vials are not present for filling.
2.4.19.2 Stop the filler and stopper insert station if a jam occurs at the filler or stopper insert
station.
2.4.19.3 Stop the stopper insert station if vials are not present for stoppering.
2.4.19.4 Stop the stopper insert station if vials back-up from down line operation.
2.4.20 Equipped with no-vial - no fill, and no vial - no stopper feature.
2.4.21 Emergency stop buttons are included on the machine and HMI.
2.4.22 Light tower with red, yellow, and green visual indicator lights and audible alarm.
2.4.23 Free standing electrical cabinet is NEMA 12X rated, manufactured from stainless steel, and
connected to machine via ten (10) meter [max length] umbilical conduit.
