Some studies have shown that anger rumination
can lower the individuals' self-control capacity, leading individuals
to show more aggressive behavior (e.g., Denson, Pedersen, Friese,
Hahm, & Roberts, 2011). Recently, White and Turner (2014) observed
that effortful control partially mediated the relationship between
anger rumination and reactive aggression, also supporting a central
role for self-control in the regulation of aggression
