In Thailand, coconut milk is often used as part of the cooking process. It is known that coconut shells are hardly removed and required a skilled labor force, Therefore, many kinds of peeling equipments or tools are invented. Traditional method which seems to be a most popular and handy way is to use coconut peeling knife (named "Fak"). Fak is widely used in the South of Thailand. There are a lot of benefits of Fak as it is cheap, easy to use, portable ,and efficient. However, there are a crucial demerits such as non-ergonomic design and high risks of accidents. Therefore, the purpose of this project is to design a new peeling or dehusking tool which can be ergonomically and safely used for peeling coconut shells. The result of the design shown that the new designed tool can reduce the risk of accident and reduce the ergonomic risk due to awkward posture of the user. However, the new tool is not efficient compared with the output of using Fak. Therefore, further study for improvement of productivity of this tool is recommended
