Introduction
Mucocele is a benign cystic lesion, asymptomatic,
usually containing saliva in its interior, and caused by
disruption of the ducts of minor salivary glands or the
presence of calculus (sialolith) inside gland ducts. The
etiology is related to local trauma (1). Bullous appearance of
mucous cyst occurs either by the outpouring of mucus into
the connective tissue or by preventing drainage through
damaged excretory duct (2).
