The New Year in Thailand is call “Songkran festival”. It’s has 3 days from 13th to 15th April every year. On this day, Thai people throwing of water is meant as a symbol of washing all of the bad away. Before Songkran festival, most Thai people go back to their hometowns to meet their elders. First day, they are stay at home and cook Ka-Nom-Tein to go temple. Second day, they go to the temple to build a pile of sand and prayer for long life and happiness. On the last day. it’s family day. Thai people has a traditional way to celebrate with elders, it’s call “Rot Nam Dam Hua”.
