The Insured’s investigation report stated that the defaulters embezzled the goods from 15 May 2014 to 15 August 2014 and the quantity of goods missing was 105 cartons in accordance with the supporting documents that we have reviewed. The value of the missing goods of THB 1,764,000 was computed by multiplying 105 cartons with the estimated capacity of a carton at 60 pieces with an average cost price at THB 280 per piece. We requested the documents in supporting the estimated capacity of the carton and how the cost price was calculated but the Insured did not provide them to us. The Insured advised us that they wish to claim THB 1,490,990 for the 3,618 items of missing stock that they found from stock counting on 25 July 2014.
