The collected data were categorised into two
groups: those with DDI ≤20 minutes and those with
DDI >20 minutes. Contributory factors for DDI and
the corresponding time required as well as the reasons
for delayed DDI were analysed. These included: (1)
preparation and transfer of the patient to the operating
theatre; (2) induction of anaesthesia; (3) skin incision to
delivery of the baby; and (4) uterine incision to delivery of
the baby.
