In China, the estimative number of motorcycles will range from 95 to 100 million until the year of 2005; so, emissions of
pollutants from motorcycle engines into the atmosphere are becoming a more and more concern. Now, the application
of alternative fuels is one of means to lessen these pollutant emissions from motorcycle engines.Alternative fuels, as defined by the Energy Policy Act of 1992 (EPACT, US), include ethanol, natural gas, hydrogen, biodiesel, electricity, methanol and so on. These fuels are being used worldwide in a variety of vehicle applications.
