All the results confirm that for massive sample of Fe-Al compositions, the SHS reaction begins at the edge of the sample, where the highest temperature occurs. This is caused by the induction method of heating . Then, the front of the reaction moves toward the center of sample at a velocity of 5 mm/s for the Fe40Al, the Fe30Al composition, and for the composition of Fe50Al, the speed is much higher (about 10 mm/s). When the SHS reaction is started, the temperature in the center of the sample is about 30 ๐c lower than in the outer part of the sample. However, after the reaction has started at this point, it proceeds much faster and reaches a higher relative temperature of the reaction in relation to the edge of the sample. The results showed significant differences in the heating rate during the SHS reaction for different chemical compositions. In the case of a Fe30Al , these values are in the range of about 500-1500 ๐c/min. For the Fe50Al composition, this range is from 2000 to almost 4000 ๐c/min. Simultaneously for all chemical compositions, the highest hating rate was observed in the center
