The structured questionnaire had multiple-choice and single-choice questions corresponding with the following variables: participant characteristics (gender, age, skin color/ethnicity, level of schooling and marital status); duration of occupational exposure (duration in the current job and number of work-week hours, which was multiplied by 52, representing the number of weeks in a year); risk perception among workers (the identification of chemical, physical, biological and physiological risk factors); and the occurrence of occupational accidents self-reported by workers.
