Halloween is the night of October 31st, when many centuries ago people thought witches, demons and supernatural creatures of all kinds were supposed to be walking around.
Children traditionally celebrate Halloween by disguising themselves as witches, vampires, or other monsters. They go from house to house to house chanting “Trick or treat! Trick or treat!” to collect candy and other good things often adults also get into costumes to go to private masquerade parties.
Halloween is a nationally celebrated feast but it is not a legal holiday.
