"They'll refuse you unless you have the money to buy something or they look at the way you look and judge a book by its cover, as they say. But at night it's harder than in the daytime."
Big Hearts Small City — a non-profit group that helps people in need — would like the city to provide some areas where people can get a drink.
The city says it is looking into long-term options for the downtown area, as well as for parks and trails.
Jason Surette, the founder of Big Hearts Small City, said he would like to see businesses get involved as well.
