Plenty of amateur weight-lifters opt to use either gloves for weight-lifting, grips, or chalk so they can improve and strengthen their grasp on the equipment, particularly the bar. Whilst chalk is good enough on its own and is always useful, what you should know is that grips and gloves have the added advantage of protecting your skin (especially on the hand or palm) from developing or growing calluses. These weight-lifting gloves are built in such a way that the ends or tips of the fingers are not covered, so your fingers can still grip well. When choosing gloves for weight-lifting, make sure they are a good fit – gloves that may be too big for you will force you to increase your grip on the bar, and this can result in injuries due to overused elbows and forearms.
