A comparative study of the XRD peaks of native starch with prepared starch nanocrystals were also conducted. From the diffractograms, both the native potato starch and hydrolysed potatostarch show the characteristic peak at 18◦and 23◦. But these twopeaks are more prominent in the diffractogram of potato starch nanocrystal and this indicates the very high extent of crystallinity in starch nanocrystals.
