the production, transport and distribution of the product, to its use,
reuse and maintenance, up to recycling and the final location of the
product after its use [19,20].
On an international level, some standard criteria have been
defined for the management of an LCA study. They have been
adopted by the ISO in the norms of the ISO 14040 series [19,20].
These requirements dictate that an LCA study is articulated in
four phases, as shown in Fig. 1 [19]. The four phases are:
