As part of this scam, you may receive an email incorrectly informing you that Booking.com's Direct Debit payments process is currently unavailable. This fraudulent email will ask you to complete a bank transfer in order to pay your invoice. This scam email also contains the following wording:
“This letter is addressed to the financial account manager responsible for invoice payments. Should you not be in charge, please forward it to the appropriate department”.
If you receive such an email, DO NOT forward it on and DO NOT transfer money to the account referenced in that email. If you need to confirm our legitimate banking details, they can be found on the Booking.com Extranet under the “Finance” tab.
