Previous work by the present authors [8] derived a methodology
useful for determining the maximum obtainable thermal efficiency,
given the heat source and other process parameters, while
considering a wide range of working fluids, pressures and process
layouts. It was concluded that the maximum thermal efficiency
obtainable across the solution domain, is very strongly correlated
with the heat source inlet temperature. Furthermore, it was
concluded that the optimumworking fluid depended upon the heat
source inlet temperature, a finding which has also been obtained by
Wang et al., 2013 [6] among others.
