The experimental test of query processing and resource scheduling of the grid information retrieval system is a very complicated systematic project, there are many problems should be considered, such as network performance, fault tolerance, scalability, adaptive capability, and so on. We can use the grid simulator which can simulate grid environment to verify the design and test the system performance. In the experiment, the two important factors, retrieval recall factor and pertinency factor, are used to evaluate the performance of the grid information retrieval system.
