The patch antenna [6] was designed to work on a frequency
of 3 GHz, The test antenna was designed with a Dielectric
constant r = 3.2 , Height of substrate, h = 0.762 , Resonant
frequency, fr= 3 GHz ,Metal thickness = 0.01mm. Using
these values, the antenna was designed having a width W =
35 mm, length L = 28 mm, effective dielectric constant
reff = 3.3 , length extension ΔL = 0.37mm, Length of
recessed microstrip line Y0 = 7mm.Using above values
antenna was designed on IE3D E.M. Simulator and
schematic diagram and layouts are shown in figure 1 and
figure 2 respectively.
