The mangosteen extracts from mangosteen pericarp obtained by using 95% ethanol as solvent under conventional shaking method. They were used ethanol to be solvent for conventional shaking extraction which as more compatibility more than other organic solvent, most of the polar compounds are easily eluted by these solvents which is bioactive responsible for their activity, easy to evaporate the eluent for quick, easy availability and less damaged than the other solvents such as methanol and hexane. In this study, the percentage yields of the extract were 19.56% obtained by using 95% ethanol 2,000 ml and powdered sample 100 g . The extract had red-brown color and viscous follow as Figure 1.
