For the statistics curriculum, this course has quickly become indispensable. By far the most common suggestion statistics
concentrators make during exit surveys and interviews is to require CS125 early in the concentration, or at least to advise
students to take it at some point. Since the courses in statistical modeling and theory are methods-focused, they can only devote so much time to the finer points of R programming and troubleshooting. Junior and senior concentrators who have taken CS125 have universally praised the insights gained into R (and computing in general).
