After noticing that the students were seeing cause and effect all around them, I began to question them about it. I wondered that if they were able to find cause and effect at school, could they find cause and effect in other environments. I challenged students to go home and think about whether or not they could find examples of cause and effect in their homes. The students came back the next day astounded. They could not believe that cause and effect was everywhere when they went home also (see table 1d).
