Organisational empowerment is significantly related with employee psychological
empowerment, job satisfaction affective commitment, and customer-oriented behaviour.
Psychological empowerment, job satisfaction and affective commitment are significantly
related with customer-oriented behaviour. Besides it was found that older and long-tenured
employees demonstrate higher psychological empowerment, affective commitment and
customer-oriented behaviour. Employees under permanent employment demonstrate
higher job satisfaction, psychological empowerment, commitment and customer-oriented
behaviour. None of the variables is significantly associated with gender.
