4. DYATLOV PASS INCIDENT
Dyatlov Pass, Russia- On February o2, 1959, an event occurred in which nine skiers in the northern Ural mountains tore up their tents from the inside out to escape a potential threat. Some of the skiers escaped barefoot under heavy snowfall.
When the bodies were found, they showed no sign of struggle, two victims had fractured skulls and broken ribs but, what was odd was that some of the fatal wounds lacked bruising. Soviet officials concluded that an “unknown compelling force” had caused their deaths.
