Blend composition
All teas produced by Aiya have been tasted by our Master Tea Taster, Mitsuhiro Sugita. He decides on quality, price and use. All teas pass by his nose, his hands and his palate. Only what he believes is good enough is produced by AIYA.
Each tea farmer produces different qualities, each tea field and each tea production has different flavor characteristics. Now the art of tea tasters is to compose a complete and round taste out of these thousands of individual components – the blending.
Before the blending process all batches need to pass the in-house AIYA quality control as well as strict analysis in German laboratories.
Only after this release does Mr. Sugita proceed to preparing the tea. Our focus is on creating the best Japanese tea in harmony with the preferences of our international customers.
