In respect of the captioned matter, I checked with Busan Office whether the cargoes have been released by the consignee. It turns out the cargoes are still stayed in the terminal.
I figured out that since the B/L has been issued as "To order bill of lading", Busan Office will very carefully deal with this case, so the cargo release without submission of original B/L seems not to be too concerned.
Pls kindly check in your side that it would be possible to find the lost original B/L and if they could follow our suggestion in order to issue the 2nd original B/L. If they don't, I will report this case to the P&I Club and find out how we can deal with this problem without taking any risks according to the Law of Thailand.
But I could say, it is not so easy to get rid of the effectiveness of original B/L, so the most convenience way to issue the 2nd B/L would be taking the cash deposit about 150% of cargo value.
