The standards of ticket issuance for resigned executives
1. Eligibility
1.1 Standard of eligibility
① An executive who resigns after working over 10 years in Korean Air as a full-time executive (includes full-time General Counsel). However, an executive will be included in the eligibility even if the total years of employment are less than 10 years as long as the executive works as a full-time executive for over 2 years (excluding honorary promotions).
② An employee who works for over 10 years, becomes a general manager, transfers over to one of the corporate groups, gets promoted to a full-time executive, and passes the review of the company. However, this applies to an employee who works over 2 years as an executive in the corporate group.
③ A resigned executive besides the executives mentioned in the above standards may be included after a separate review if the executive’s contribution to the growth of Korean Air and corporate group is recognized and accepted.
④ Eligibility will be denied for the following reasons:
◦ Executive induces problems during employment or resigns in relation to disciplinary action
◦ An executive is hired by a competitor company or a potential competitor company
◦ Executive acts in a way which adversely affect Korean Air’s profit by defaming Korean Air/corporate group, etc.
◦ Damages the image of Korean Air as a former Korean Air executive
◦ Company determines that it is unnecessary to provide the resigned executive tickets
1.2 Review of qualifications
① Annual inspection
The qualifications of all eligible executives are reviewed at the end of each year to determine whether or not tickets will be continually provided to the executives.
② Individual spot-check
◦ If an executive resigns from Korean Air, then eligibility of provision will be determined through the new eligibility review without a separate application
◦ If an executive resigns from Korean Air as a non-executive employee and the executive experience at a corporate company cannot be verified, then the provision of ticket will be determined after receiving and reviewing the application of eligible executive and the corporate group experience certificate.
