The gun control unit energizes the clearing solenoid for 0.60 (±0.10) second to pivot the clearing sector into the rear dwell of the main cam.
Each breech bolt, after receiving a fed round, enters the clearing cam path.
Rounds are continuously fed into the breech bolts by the transfer unit during the clearing cycle.
As the breech bolts continue along the clearing cam path, the unfired rounds are extracted from the breech bolts by the guide bar and ejected from the gun.
Rounds are ejected into the transfer unit and carried by conveyor elements into return chute A.
Approximately 0.45 second after CAMERA/GUN switch release, the gun rotor will have come to rest with all breech bolts entrapped in the clearing cam path.
The clearing signal lasts 0.60 (±0.10) second to insure that the gun has stopped before the clearing cycle ends.
