Social support is an important factor in predicting breast cancer
survivors’ health outcomes. The study contributes to the concept of
moderator variables in such a way as to clearly describe the ways in
which selected variables may account for differences in health
outcomes, and provide helpful information of effects of social
support on both DS and QOL in breast cancer survivors. When
survivors suffer from DS, social support has a positive effect on
improving QOL. Such an effect of social support occurred in the
study because social support had reduced the likelihood of DS,
thereby changing the relation between DS and QOL
