The wolves let out a howl, they didn’t even have a moment to twitch.
The crow glides above watching as their gargantuous pack forms a line across the barrier. Each takes a small step back into day as the night moves forward. Some wolves stare at the barrier with their white eyes, and others with none. As the night continues they boy gains more ground, ground that will lead him back to his town. As the boy stands there on the edge of night, looking at the barrier he can see the bright eyes behind looking back, and knows they will meet again
