Being so closely involved with humanity, Viṣṇu is thus deserving of bhakti or devotion. Generally, bhakti is directed towards this god’s main avatāras, Rāma and Kṛṣṇa.
Historically, Kṛṣṇa has been the recipient of bhakti in its fullest form.
In mythology Kṛṣṇa is known to be very mischievous and to transcend dharma as usually followed. And yet, he is especially loved for his unpredictable, fun-loving nature.
