To promote Thailand's SMEs, firstly, we should identify the sectors with which we have more advantages compared to our neighboring countries. For example, tourism, beauty&fashion, agricultural products, and industrial sectors. This is called the “ SME Flagship Industry” Strategy. To put these sectors, in which we have more comparative advantages, in a position to help Thailand's SMEs to grow rapidly in the long term. Other sectors, however, still obtain the consecutive local consumption through government offices, such as OTOP. ASEAN Economic Community is s single market which provides opportunities to ASEAN member countries as well as Thailand, especially, the “Supply Chain” in terms of raw materials. Thailand's processed agricultural products could also take advantage from this upcoming merger in case of relocating factories to the lower-cost-of-production areas. This will benefit Thailand's SMEs as well as pushing them up to be the “Kitchen of the World”.
