This paper presents the comparison of voltage
waveform, %THDv, %THDi, motor temperature and system
temperature when the harmonics distortion were decreased by
LC filter. From the experimental results, the output filter can
reduce the harmonics in system that directly effect to the motor
temperature and the system temperature. The effective LC
filter can reduce the temperature of the M O SFETs by 10°C.
while it can reduce the motor temperature about 2°C. By the
way LC filter drops output power that feed to the motor cause
of the motor speed decreasing. So LC filter design should
optimize with cut-off frequency, switching frequency, inductor
and capacitor to obtain the best efficiency of the system.
